Lumosity

Today I signed up for Lumosity.com. I went ahead and bought the one year subscription since they offered me a good deal. So instead of paying $15.00/month ($180.00 /year) I only paid $45.00 for the year. Yay promotions!

My Brain Profile Overview:

  • Speed – 498
  • Memory – 725
  • Attention – 529
  • Flexibility – 604
  • Problem Solving – 348

Which averages out to 540, which is my BPI or Brain Performance Index. Is that good or bad? I don’t know so let’s look at where I stand with other in my age group, 20-24. Keep in mind, this is my first day doing this and the numbers are based off everyone within this age group, not just those who are starting.

  • BPI – 8.4th Percentile
  • Speed – 7th Percentile
  • Memory – 14.3th Percentile
  • Attention – 11.5th Percentile
  • Flexibility – 17.5th Percentile
  • Problem Solving – 8.2th Percentile

As you can see, I’m pretty much a dumbass. I can improve though, or so Lumosity tells me.

I’ll be posting my progress weekly (every Sunday) on the new Lumosity page so you can cheer me on when I improve or tear me down when I decline. Your choice.

  1. Hey… I also just started …. 4 weeks ago,and have comparable scores as yourself. NOT a dumb-ass !! lol, but, you don’t appear too worried about what people think, so you have a great out look ! Good luck on your future successes with Lumosity.

    • Matt,

I actually got pretty slacker-y for a while there and was’t doing any training. I’m getting back to it now and seeing the old scored vs new scores…. a little discouraging. I’m certain I’ll catch up to and beat my best scores in just a few weeks time.

Thanks for the encouragement, good luck to you as well!
